Tybee Island voted #1 Beach destination in Georgia by Georgia Magazine readers. Savannah and Tybee also mentioned in many other categories.
Recent October edition of Georgia Magazine featured Tybee Island as Top Beach destination in the state of Georgia. Tybee Island took the #1 spot for Beach destination followed by Jekyll Island and St. Simons. Tybee Island Pirate Festival was also mentioned under the Top pick for an "Annual event". This past weekend we just participated in the annual Pirate's festival, and if this 2009 crowd has any inclination of what the 2010 crowd will be like, we will take the #1 spot for "Annual event" next year! Tybee Island's own Crab Shack took the #1 spot for best "Place to get seafood". Savannah, Georgia was no stranger to these awards taking the #1 spot for "Weekend getaway" with Tybee Island also being a top pick in that category. With all the Beauty of Georgia it is looking like all eyes are starting to turn towards Savannah/ Tybee Island, GA for Awesome vacation destinations.
