Another Feature Film creating a Buzz on Tybee Island, Georgia
Recent filming of The Conspirator directed by Robert Redford and starring names like Kevin Kline and Alexis Bledel has allowed Savannah and Tybee Island residents and visitors another glimpse of the Hollywood.
If you have ever been to Tybee Island you have passed Fort Pulaski. The battle at Fort Pulaski in April 1862, marked a turning point in military history. It was the beginning of the first significant use of rifled cannons in combat. Not only is Fort Pulaski rich in American history, but it is a Fantastic place for visitors to visit and honestly a "must see" in my opinion! Recently Savannah and Tybee Island has hosted the filming of The Conspirator, directed by Robert Redford. This filming comes on the skirt tails of the recent filming of The Last Song written by Nicholas Sparks and starring none other than Miley Cyrus! WTOC 11 of Savannah, Georgia was on the set of some of the filming that took place right down the road at Fort Pulaski. The Conspirator sounds like it has all the right ingredients to be an award winner!
