January 1st
Annual Polar Bear Plunge
This event has become a Tybee tradition, held every January 1st at noon at the Pier on the south end of the island. Plan to be with us next year, invigorating your soul with a cleansing (and cold) plunge into the Atlantic.
February 6th
Critz Tybee Run
5K starts at the Historic Tybee Island Lighthouse, and will finish on 16th st. facing the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and Tybee Island Pier. Click here for more

Tie the Knot on Tybee
Tie the Knot on Tybee is a unique and romantic event open to the public that will be a group wedding ceremony and vow renewal celebration. There will be food, drinks, music, photographers and (of course) CAKE! Even though this event is geared towards couples wishing to get married or to renew their wedding vows, it is open to everyone. Tybee Island Irish Heritage Celebration Parade
3:00 p.m. The parade will assemble at Memorial Park, proceed down Butler Avenue, take a left on Tybrisa Street, and end on the Strand. This Irish Parade began seven years ago under the guidance of Jimmy and Jay Burke. It gives all the Irish a chance to celebrate their Irish Heritage. Since it began, it has become a tradition that seems to grow bigger every year. There will be lots of Irish families marching, along with bands, bagpipers, floats, and the Alee Temple Shriners. You are invited to join in this Irish Celebration, Tybee style.

Annual Turtle Trot - 5K Tybee Beach Run
Fundraiser for the Tybee island Sea turtle Project and kick-off for Coastal Georgia's Sea Turtle Nesting Season!

Tour a wide variety of small and large, old and new, Tybee homes all full of unique character. Ticket price includes luncheon. Event raises money for the Hope House of Savannah.

Tybee Kayak Race
12th annual event includes 3 seperate races: The Tybee River Race, The Little Tybee Challenge, and The Race Across the River. The races are a benefit for the Tybee Island Marine Science Center and non-profit marine science education facility on Tybee Island.

Fireworks at The Pier
Celebrate Independence Day with the annual fireworks show at Tybee's Pier & Pavilion!

Labor Day Beach Bash
Enjoy the ocean breezes, while live music fills the air from the Tybee Island Pier & Pavilion. Come to the 4th Annual Labor Day Beach Bash featuring free live entertainment & fireworks - oceanfront!

Tybee Island Pirate Fest
AHOY MATES! Swashbucklers of all ages will be converging on Tybee Island to participate in the 6th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Fest! Don your most colorful pirate’s costume, and gather your Krewe of marauding buccaneers, because Tybee will be overrun and invaded by pirates. That’s right the 5th Annual Pirate Fest weekend is coming October 7th-9th and that means lots of pirates, merriment, parade and much more.
