Property Description
This Tybee vacation rental has long been called "The Cottage". It was the first property rented by the Owners of Oceanfront Cottage which defined the name of the company. This home is located just steps to the activities of the South end of Tybee and situated directly oceanfront on the Atlantic Ocean. The location has the best of both worlds. Quiet location for enjoying the home, its large deck/porch, steps to the beach and access to all the fun restaurants, shops, Pier and Pavilion plus nightlife.
A large oceanfront sundeck is attached to a covered porch allowing Guests to enjoy fun in the sun or retreat to the shade while overlooking the Southern tip of Tybee.
This home has been updated recently and now features two king bedrooms. Each master bedroom has great views. There are 2 full baths. The main king master has a Jacuzzi in the bedroom. You can see the beach from this Jacuzzi. It is not necessary to get out of bed to watch the sunrise.
The living area of the home has expansive glass to allow views in 2 directions plus the large windows in the main king master allow even more views down the beach directly South.
The living area of the home has an arched opening into the kitchen so that the "cook" doesn't get left out of the fun! The kitchen is designed galley style with acrylic cook top, oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, 2 dishwashers, and all the amenities that one would wish in a kitchen.
The home's central heat and air keeps everyone happy year round. This cottage has upgraded amenities such as newly installed gas logs making this home intimate and comfortable year round. Flat screen televisions and upgraded cable package enhance the visitors experience. A large charcoal grill is located on the upper level sun deck. There is a gated entrance to this home keeping children and pets within the safety of your reach.
#1 18th Street has a lower level that is rented separately (or together) based on availability. Each has a separate gated entrance and there is no interior stairwell. Both levels have separate decks.
There is a handicap ramp to the beach just a few yards from your front door as well as beach crossover. Tybee has one of very few handicap access matts that allow beach goers who are impaired to wheel chair onto the beach.

Special events that exceed the normal occupancy of the home are prohibited by The City of Tybee Island’s Fire Marshall. If you are planning an event that exceeds the occupancy stated in the description of the home, you must get permission from Oceanfront Cottage Rentals, LLC. Your reservation can be cancelled by exceeding occupancy without permission. Permission granted on case by case basis.
