It’s a pirate’s life for me! Tybee once again is set to be pillaged and plundered by grungy, bearded pirates next month. October 6-9th, we will be under siege! We can’t wait! This will be the 12th annual celebration for this beloved event. This is the place to be and a wonderful time to visit the beach as temperatures are beginning to drop. Colder beach days are so beautiful!
Last year, our very own Lannie & Stacye Jarrell were crowned King and Queen of Pirate Fest. We couldn’t be happier! This exciting honor is announced at the Buccaneer’s Ball, which kicks off everything. This swashbuckling shin dig is always a good time with good people. There is grog and grub a plenty! Also, be prepared to dance the heels off of your pirate boots!

The south end of Tybee near the pier is where you will locate the Thief’s Market. With games, rides costume contests (men, women, children and pets), and live music, there is something for everyone of all ages. I always remember a giant ferris wheel, which is magical near the beach. Views are spectacular. You will also find many vendors for both crafts and delicious food.
To attend the actual festival, you will need tickets:

Fireworks: 10:15-11pm
The most important thing is to have fun and we know you will! See you soon for lots of pirate fun! You can also join us in the parade if you would like. Come in your most appealing pirate attire and walk along with our pirate ship float. Our office really gets in the spirit and we enjoy having our guests join us for a swashbuckling good time!
