In the area: Officer’s Row is a historic area on Tybee Island. 5 Driftwood Court is located on the beach/oceanside of Officer’s Row. The Officer’s Row was once used as a parade ground for soldiers stationed at near by Fort Screven. Many of the homes in this quaint and quiet area were constructed many years ago and as such, they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As you enter this quiet neighborhood you will drive past years of history. As with most homes in the Savannah and Tybee Island area, there are plaques from Historic foundations found on these homes giving the dates of construction of the home and often times, the name(s) of the builder.
